Arrival at Nisyros

It is somehow difficult to get to Nisyros, because it is a island ;-)

First you have to get a flight to Cos island [or in worst case to Athens airport]. It is useful to stay the first night in Cos town at a nice hotel like Hotel Marie (or others...). Cos town has a lot of places for sightseeing... There is also a lot of night life...

The next step is to get to Nisyros by a ship...
There the problem begins...

The information at Cos tourist offices isn´t the best and most reliable...
  • There are one-day-excursions to Nisyros (about +- 25 €) [you loose your return ticket]
  • There is a small ship going from Kardamena village to Nisyros every day about 14:00 +-
  • There is the ship "Panagia Spiliani" sailing to Nisyros at about 15:00 every day
  • There is also Blue Star Ferries going to Nisyros some mornings about 03:30

Please try to ask at the tourist offices in Cos (try more than one...)
