Nisyros is an almost round island that is located across from Kos to the north. The island is characterized by a cirque valley in the center of the island, which is characterized by several high lava domes on the northern edge. In the north-western part of the caldera are the craters of volcanic steam explosions. The island is well served by hiking trails with which you can explore the entire island. There are several maps that are good for orientation.
