Nisyros is an almost round island that is located across from Kos to the north. The island is characterized by a cirque valley in the center of the island, which is characterized by several high lava domes on the northern edge. In the north-western part of the caldera are the craters of volcanic steam explosions. The island is well served by hiking trails with which you can explore the entire island.
